Trousers Point camping ground is located in the Strzelecki National Park. Its own little beach which is great for swimming, wood fire BBQ, picnic tables and short 25m walk away is a toilet block and a shaded free gas BBQ with fresh water (donation appreciated). The car park can accommodate many vehicles and the spot is popular with tour groups. Trousers Point Beach is a curving 1.8 km long beach that trends north of Holts Point finally curving to the west in lee of Trousers Point. The low gradient beach is exposed to periodic higher westerly wind waves, which arrive from either north or south of the Chappell Islands, located 10 km to the west.
The waves are sufficiently high to maintain a low tide terrace to occasionally transverse bar and rips system, with up to ten rips forming along the beach spaced every 150-200 m, while seagrass grows in deeper water about 200 m offshore....
