Customs House, one of Brisbane's heritage icons, is located on the river in the Central Business District. The beautifully restored building is operated by The University of Queensland as a cultural, educational and heritage facility. Behind the grand Corinthian columns you will find exquisite boardrooms, a stunning ballroom, a licensed restaurant and an information centre.
Customs House is open to the public for viewing. Visitors are able to stroll through the building and capture its historic flavour while a display of Customs Service memorabilia from those bygone years stirs the imagination. The licensed restaurant is located on the river level in what was once part of the Queen's warehouse. Seating is provided inside in heritage surroundings as well as outside overlooking the river.
